How long have you been planning weddings and how did you get to be a wedding planner?

I have been planning weddings since the year 2000. Prior to planning weddings, I worked at Columbia Records and Capitol Records. I had the pleasure of working with national recording artists like Mariah Carey, Beyonce Knowles and Will Smith. After years of working in the music industry and planning events in the music industry, I moved back to North Carolina and began planning weddings.

I kicked off my wedding planning career in the Raleigh/Durham area by offering free wedding planning seminars for brides. Eventually, my website was recognized by the Style Network show Whose Wedding Is It Anyway? After appearing on the show, my work was featured in multiple national wedding magazines and books including The Knot, InStyle Weddings, Real Simple Weddings, Brides and various other publications. I also began to make regular appearances on local television stations to discuss ways couples could save money on their weddings and to offer wedding planning advice.

Your services are exactly what we've been looking for. Can you tell us how you stand apart from other wedding planners in the area?

With my event planning background in the music industry, I've learned tons about catering to huge stars. I have taken that knowledge and offer the same level of service to my wedding clients. I've also had to deal with various sticky situations when planning events for stars like Mariah Carey and Will Smith. That experience helps me think on my feet when it comes to dealing with weddings. There's no situation that can arise that I don't feel prepared to handle. I've seen it all!

In addition, my national media exposure has given me the opportunity to work with multiple professional athletes, several actors who have been featured on the large and small screens, couples planning events in other states as well as extraordinary couples who live right here in North Carolina! I am considered a local wedding planning expert by media outlets in the Raleigh/Durham area. I also teach tons of free seminars in the area for brides and grooms looking for planning advice. And I host a wedding planning radio show in Raleigh called Perfect On A Penny. The show offers lots of helpful tips and advice for anyone planning a wedding.

You have a lot of experience planning big weddings and working with celebrities. Will we be able to afford your services?

Yes! I created the services offered by Perfect On A Penny specifically for couples on a tight budget who want an experienced professional to help plan their wedding. I really feel that everyone should be able to work with a well-experienced wedding planner and I don't think that budget should prevent you from having exceptional assistance. Services start under $300!

Who do you work best with?

My services are ideal for couples who want to maximize their wedding planning budget and want guidance on the BEST ways to spend their money. I love working with couples who know what kind of wedding they want, but aren't sure if they can afford it and are afraid to waste time and money trying to figure out what vendors to hire, what venues to book, how to achieve the "look" they want and how to pull of a flawless wedding day. I also work well with open-minded couples who are open to alternative wedding ideas that will help them save money.

Do you accept credit cards and do you offer payment plans?

Yes, we accept credit cards. Actually, most of our clients pay with credit cards. We also accept checks. And we offer payment plans on all of our services. Money should never stand in the way of you getting the wedding planning expertise that you need!
